Revealing Hidden Talents | Motion Capture at Texas A&M’s Starlab
Housed on the Texas A&M RELLIS Campus in Bryan, Starlab is a state-of-the-art motion capture and virtual production facility directed by Associate Professor of Practice Michael Walsh. A veteran of the Hollywood visual effects scene, Walsh helps students create their own stories using the same technology employed in feature films like “Avatar.”

Helping Animals Impacted By Wildfires
In the wake of Texas’ largest-ever wildfire, the Texas A&M School of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences’ Vet Emergency Team deployed to the Panhandle to assist with search and rescue operations and help animals impacted by the fire. The team mobilized 29 Texas A&M faculty, staff, and students, who examined or treated 262 animals over 10 days. In total, 650 cattle in herds were evaluated.

Operation Health & Wellness in South Texas
The Texas A&M Colonias Program serves the rural and underserved communities throughout South Texas to help increase self-sufficiency and enhance the quality of life for residents. Aggies partnered with the U.S. Department of Defense to provide free medical and veterinary care to thousands of people in Corpus Christi and Nueces County.
